Cancer is too big an issue for any one of us to tackle alone. We know we are stronger when we work together.

By setting up your own fundraising activity you can extend a helping hand to cancer patients and their families - now and in the future. It’s easy and fun! Check out for ideas and to register your own fundraiser. From there, you can share your dedicated fundraising page for friends and family from all over the world to donate to.

You can shave your head, run marathons, climb mountains, give up chocolate, run baking sales or organise a host of other activities to raise funds. There are loads of resources on the You Can For Cancer website.

You can also check out our Relay For Life, Daffodil Day, and other fundraisers in our What's On page.

You too can make a stand against cancer and become a community champion by fundraising for Cancer Society. If you would like more information or assistance email Cassie Rowe HERE or ring 06 7573006

We wouldn’t be able to support, inform and empower those touched by cancer without volunteers like you.

Volunteering is a great opportunity for you to make a positive impact in your community, be part of a team, share your experience, learn new skills, and develop lasting friendships.

People volunteer for different reasons but they all bring skills, passion and energy to their role.

If you are interested in seeing how you could help out please contact our volunteer coordinator Lisa click here or ring 06 7573006.

Ways to Donate

There are a number of ways you can donate to the Cancer Society. You can make a one off payment, a monthly payment, or a gift in your will. Donating in memory instead of flowers can bring meaning at a difficult time. Don't want more can always consider nominating the Cancer Society instead of gifts at a special occasion coming up. Over 650 people in Taranaki are diagnosed with cancer annually – family members, friends, colleagues, acquaintances … cancer invariably touches us all in some way.

Would you like to help Taranaki families affected by cancer? The Cancer Society receives no government funding, so we rely heavily on the public’s generosity.

We also welcome and value long-term sustainable relationships and are keen to explore ways of maximising opportunities that are mutually beneficial.

The Cancer Society is one of New Zealand’s most trusted charities
